A real bench, behind the counter.
The Bling Jewelers is a full-service shop: we build custom pieces, we fix what's broken, and we put honest numbers on what things are worth. The work happens here — not shipped out, not guessed at — and you get it in writing.
Custom work, built to order
From your idea or your old gold. Bring a sketch, a photo, or an inherited piece you'd like remade. We design around what you have and tell you plainly when melting down heirloom metal is — and isn't — worth it.
Approved before it's made. Every custom job gets a drawing and a fixed written quote before we touch metal. The price you approve is the price you pay.
Finished like it matters. Settings checked under magnification, stones tightened, and a final clean before handoff. If a prong we built fails in the first year, we re-tip it at no charge.
Repairs, with the estimate first
Most repairs are small jobs done well. You'll get a written estimate before any work starts, and your piece never leaves our bench.
Up or down, plain bands to pavé shanks. Stones checked and re-seated after sizing.
Broken links rebuilt and soldered, worn clasps replaced with ones rated for the chain's weight.
Loose stones secured; lost stones matched by cut, color, and size — matched honestly, documented plainly.
Worn prongs rebuilt before they fail — the cheapest insurance a stone can have.
While-you-wait battery swaps and band adjustments on most models.
Scratches worked out by hand; white gold re-plated so it reads white again, not gray.
Our rule on repairs: if a piece isn't worth fixing, we say so. We'd rather lose a small job than have you pay more than the piece is worth.
Appraisals you can hand to your insurer
A proper appraisal is a document, not a guess over the counter. Here's what each kind covers and when you need it.
| Appraisal type | What it's for | What you receive |
|---|---|---|
| Insurance replacement | Scheduling a piece on your homeowner's or jewelry policy | Full written description, photos, metal and stone details, replacement value |
| Estate & inheritance | Dividing or settling an estate fairly | Fair-market valuation per piece, itemized for the executor |
| Resale opinion | Deciding whether and where to sell | A realistic range for private sale vs. trade-in, explained in person |
| Verification | Confirming what a piece actually is | Metal testing and stone identification, stated in writing — including bad news |
